Education For All (EFA)

What is Education for All (EFA)?

Education for All (EFA) is an international action first established in Jomtien, Thailand, in 1990 to bring benefits of education for every citizen.  In order to bring their aim to existence they have to work together with UNESCO and the World Bank. Together they have made six specific education goals.
These goals can be seen at:

Why is Education for all important?
Achieving the Education for all goals is critical for fulfil 8 MDGs due to the impact of education on child’s health as well as the fact the EFA had created a multi-partner  combination toward the 2015 targets.  Achieving the other MDGs as improved health care, proper, easy access to clean and safe water, decrease in poverty and sustaining your environment.
Even though they have made progress we still have to take in to account that 77 million of school age, including 44 million girls are still not in school due to the lack of finance, physical challenges, high fertility rates and HIV/AIDS.

  4. Nishi concerning your qusetions,
1)The reason why there are 44 million girls not educated is because:

    1)lack in finance
    2)physical challenges
    3)high fertility rates
    4)HIV/AIDS

    2)
The one that is most strongest to eduction is:

1)to eradicate poverty and hunger in doing so children will stay alive.
    2)
To ensure that children are well and healthy in doing so they are fit to go to school.
    3) To eradicat HIV/AIDS in doing so chidren don't have to face physical problems that will affect them for their rest of their lives
    4) Finally education. They will have knowledge in whats around them and no know how to slove problems in life

  5. Mr Mitchell,

concerning your questions , the first goal that should be tackled first is to eradicate poverty and hunger. Numerous people die of hunger and poverty. Not having money to sustain their family for a long period. Only suriving on one food a day. This problem used to be tackled first.
