Approximately 51% of the global population are women. However they only hold 21.3% of the seats in parliament in Europe. Only 7% of directors of companies in OECD countries are women. In the USA two-thirds of workers in the ten lowest paid occupations are women, while two thirds in the highest paid occupations are men.
The statistics speak for themselves. But is this the whole story? We need to find out more.
